I knew Eddy personally and professionally for 38 years. He was an outstanding man in the Shreveport/Bossier City community and the state of Louisiana. There is not enough space here to list his accomplishments but he was definitely a Proven Outstanding American.......

Eddy Shell was my high school American History teacher in 1962 and also the best man at my wedding in 1967 after I got out of the Army. We stayed in touch the past 46 years primarily via landline and cell phone, with a few visits when I was in Bossier City. Although I haven't made a radio QSO with Eddy in many years (back when he had a KWM2), he and I were discussing band conditions on April 25th via cell phone a week before he passed away. He touched and influenced the careers of many people, including mine. He will truly be missed.
